Alternatives to ruby-colorls / ls-icons?

Two of colorls’ dependencies have gone from aur, ls-icons no longer builds, alternatives?

Would something like exa or lsd suit your use case?

If it is just for ls I use exa (well, eza, exa is dead): https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/eza-git

Thanks all, will have a look when I get home.

eza is more responsive, three to four times faster on my system, lsd-git is good if you want to change some icons to your taste in the source, before building.

  • First - colorls
  • Second - eza
  • Third - lsd

colorls wins hands down in aesthetics (IMHO), 2nd & 3rd a bit meh. Shame colorls is going to die on my next install, will backup the packages just in case.
