What do you mean by “true”?
Yeah of course, but it’s a question of your own intelligence in the end i guess, meaning:
Can you tell original from a very good convincing fake?
For instance in art, sometimes even experts in the field definitively can’t tell for decades by just looking at it until some clumsy opsec evidence come out…And those people are like 0.00000000001% of humanity ![]()
Most people can’t hear a difference between a freaking .mp3 and vinyl for crying out loud! ![]()
AI motto for next years would more likely be “fake it until you make it”, and it’s doing it already now, coz…well…people are a bunch of
s.
Self-aware, equal to grown educated man or better in mental capabilities. And with ability to keep continually learning all the time while functioning.
Art?
Lol, in 2022 was discovered that beta-amiloid theory of the Alzheimer was fake, no one just properly checked original research before.
Data was straight up made up.
Decades and billions of dollars were wasted for absolutely made up crap. I’m myself actively belived that prion-like proteins were the main reason of the Alzheimer and other brain-degeneracy diseases.
Sounds like me. ![]()
Oh come on Rick, you’re better than that…don’t be too hard on yourself ![]()
I’m better than AI. ![]()
Most of the times yes, but sometimes…Just sometimes your AI model fails Turing test! ![]()
And hey, don’t be too hard on AI!
dalto is clearly a very advanced Linux AI trained on anything Linux, and he’s always really helpful! ![]()
But i got the data to prove it! It’s on my Western Digital Black nvme drive. They never fail me. ![]()
In not so distant past there was a nonsense like this -
For 13 years, all scientific world belived that there’s an uga-buga special polywater.
In 2019, I think one of the Cochraine’s directors or WHO’s was caught on literally photoshopping images for his research.
Don’t get me started on SOYence and WHO, especially in last few years…This will certainly get us both banned!
![]()
That’s was one of the main reasons why I dropped my dream to become a scientist and become more interested in working in the industry.
I have no desire to have anything in common with national or global Academia.
I prefer return to monke times when science was for the ones who had enough time and wealth to do whatever he think is making him closer to truth. And not what some bureaucrats from system turned around herontocracy are telling you to do…
Oh no! I wonder why my intelligence is being questioned all the time! ![]()
You touched a nerve! I personally believe many many “facts” “they” are promoting are just big big big lies…
and it is confirmed by
Found it, it’s happend in 2018
Though such bullshit on lesser scale is happening all the time, even machine generated papers, with absolute unreasonable content were accepted by journals long before ChatGPT.
And about academy, in 2019 I’m in person had a little debate with the man that’s a one of the people who discovered CRISPR, from 90’s he was and still a senior investigator at NCBI, Biotechnology department. His name is Eugene Koonin.
He was standing at point that CRISPR will be never used in humans for genetherapy cause it’s “toxic”.
He didn’t clarified why it’s toxic, as I explained for myself toxic in a matter of the immune reaction, because it’s a protein that’s mainly occuring in bacteria and our immune system don’t like much bacterial proteins.
I’ve standed on the position that it’s possible, and that even if we won’t be able to use bacterial RNA-guided molecular scissors, there’s a researches where people already were able to made such systems out of purely humans proteins. He didn’t believed me and asked to send him email with a link to research. ![]()
I’ve sent him later, he appreciated that, but didn’t answer on any of my messages later. ![]()
And right now, about ~200 people already got genetherapies based on CRISPR therapies, though Koonin said it’s impossible. ![]()
an AI able to create code could also be able to reprogram its own code thats only a matter of bad coding in the beginning … “only do what it is programmed for” follows the assumption that the code is perfect and contains no errors, which is very unlikely.
Computer technology do not changed in some ways from what starts back in the 70ties… it is true that we still mainly use the same tools in a way and the same product too only smaller and more powerful…
Quantum Computers? i do not think they will do much soon.
From a technological standpoint we are in a phase of stagnation… microchips are so small already there is not much we can do to make them a lot more powerfull.
And may all that AI stuff is only about marketing to sell stuff? i bet 99.999% yes ![]()
Yeah,
development speaks for it…There’s always a
in the
!!!11

indeed in general as long as we do not use AI to write our code it will be human ![]()
