Yesterday, as usual on my laptop, I did an system update, de-logged and performed under another TTY. all gone ok without problems.
At the reboot, the system has correctly booted and loaded until, I think, the logging box (I’m running xfce), to terminate on a black screen without any possibilities to switch to any tty.
I tried a different kernel, same way.
I think I will have to arch-root and downgrade some packages. About these 2 operations, I need some advises:
To mount a nvme disk, is there a correct syntax to write or it’s the same returned by the lsblk return? ( nvme0n1p2 in my case)
How to find correctly which packages to downgrade?
Many thanks for your helps and your reactivity, I was effectively in this case with mesa.
I’ve downgraded it and also installed vulkan-virtio, I can now enjoy running again my EOS
So now, I’ve mesa and vulkan-virtio installed, both can stay installed together or mesa should be removed or safely updated? (maybe a stupid noob question… )
vulkan-virtio usually is only necessary for using 3D acceleration inside of virtual machines, so the thing that got it running in your case was the downgrade, except you’re running a virtual machine.
mesa should stay, but be careful with upgrading it in the next few days.
