A couple of years ago I was an ambitious young teenager trying to use Manjaro. The installer wasn’t accessible however so there was a brief time where I maintained an accessible fork of the iso called Manjaro Talking, which you could install with Architect, even though Calamares wasn’t accessible.
Now I’m an ambitious young adult with the desire to use Endeavour along-side Mac OS, because all of this Recall crap is finally making me switch away from Windows for good.
Would you guys be interested in any accessibility help? Adding Orca in to the ISO, possibly creating an accessibility centric image with Gnome / Mate / ETC? I’d love to help any way I can with this. I like my self some archinstall but having to paste in the same accessibility variables every time I reinstall, making the same tweaks to make stuff work, then forgetting something and oops your Electron apps don’t work is incredibly frustrating so if I had something I could just stick on a flashdrive and go, that is also reputable, would be nice.
Orca doesn’t support reading applications running as root and we don’t have any plans for an alternative text-based installer like architect.
As a result, I don’t think adding Orca would be of much benefit until either support for reading root applications is added to Orca or Calamares is modified so it isn’t running as root.
