ACPI error with kernel 5.17

Hi,

with kernel 5.17.x I see ACPI errors on my Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 6th:

Apr 19 14:39:56 leno kernel: ACPI BIOS Error (bug): Could not resolve symbol [\_SB.PCI0.RP09.PXSX.TBDU.XHC.RHUB.TPLD], AE_NOT_FOUND (20211217/psargs-330)
Apr 19 14:39:56 leno kernel: ACPI Error: Aborting method \_SB.UBTC.CR01._PLD due to previous error (AE_NOT_FOUND) (20211217/psparse-529)
Apr 19 14:39:56 leno kernel: ACPI BIOS Error (bug): Could not resolve symbol [\_SB.PCI0.RP09.PXSX.TBDU.XHC.RHUB.TPLD], AE_NOT_FOUND (20211217/psargs-330)
Apr 19 14:39:56 leno kernel: ACPI Error: Aborting method \_SB.UBTC.CR02._PLD due to previous error (AE_NOT_FOUND) (20211217/psparse-529)

Any idea what that means ? I could not find ACPI error info related to kernel 5.17. And also no information regarding SB.PCI0.RP09.PXSX.TBDU.XHC.RHUB.TPLD or SB.UBTC.CR01._PLD.

So far I did not experience any malfunction. suspend, hibernate, backlight, etc. is all working.

Could just be something being exposed but not supported by a newer kernel release?

with kernel 5.17.x

With every 5.17.x, also 5.17.3-arch1-1?

Did you have flashed the latest UEFI version 1.55 (2021-12-16)?

And also no information regarding SB.PCI0.RP09.PXSX.TBDU.XHC.RHUB.TPLD or SB.UBTC.CR01._PLD.

You are looking for wrong.

Bug 213023 - Could not resolve symbol. The problem is apparently back.

In testing: 5.17.4-arch1-1.

Just tested 5.17.4-arch1-1. But it shows the same errors.

Did you have flashed the latest UEFI version 1.55 (2021-12-16)?!

The BIOS says:

@mbod
I ve exactly the same ACPI bug since Kernel 5.17, all firmware module up-to-date even the latest ME firmware 11.8.92.4222, i didn’t notice any change since these ACPI bug message and i don’t know how to explain or resolve them

Good to know that I am not alone!

This happens regularly on new kernel releases where functionality is exposed but not yet supported.

ACPI bugs are gone since last kernel upgrade at least on my Z370
And for you?
journalctl -p 3 -xb return this (vm and sgx disabled by myself) :

Which kernel is that? My laptop still shows the ACPI errors wit kernel 5.18.11

Since 5.18.11 and 5.18.12 today
I guess your laptop use a different chipset.
