We love you, and we are very thankful for the amazing job you are doing.
I am just the new guy here, but I enjoy myself here very much and I am shure others do too.
Let us write some nice words here for the devs to read, if they ever have a bad day
I’d also like to thank the EOS team, you’re doing an excellent job. I haven’t regretted switching to EOS for a second almost a year ago. Everything’s perfect, everything’s running like it did on the first day.
Many thanks to the team, the supporters, and the community here.
It’s true. Fantastic distro, and equally fantastic community. Really. Even the wikis on the site are understandable for novices, even those totally unaware of how Linux works (and for example, although it is among the largest and most complete, the arch wiki is made by expert users FOR expert users, the novice remains disoriented by that wiki). And in any case the approach certainly more patient and benevolent towards users (even if they are lazy or forget to put logs regarding the problem) is a plus.
After knowing this distro and this community, I can’t live without EOS on my system. That must always be there. Other distros may be fleeting, but EOS always remains.
I have distro-hopped for who knows HOW long. And even in the times that I strayed from Endeavour OS, I ended up coming back to it. I’ve tried the *buntus, Fedora, Neon, Manjaro, Garuda, PCLinuxOS and others I don’t recall anymore. Every. Single. Time. I. Come. Back. To. Endeavour. Every. Single. Time.
If there was a “mic drop” emoji, it’d be here.
Honestly a billion or a trillion thank you is not enough.
I have been on Linux since 2000, and never ever came across a distro like EndeavourOS or a community like this.
Plus I have been distro hopping like crazy since January 2021, till I settled after a few months June 2021 on Arch based, spent a few months on another distro but since I started EndeavourOS September 2021 it became my home.
There is absolutely no other distro or community that even come close.
Thank you all, all developers, admins and to all community members.
Tried a bunch of distros near and far, old and new – and it’s still EOS that is my main driver for my work laptop, my gaming PC, any new computers, and any recommendations.
I’m proud to at least be a member of this beautifully purple community!
