Something new to try out if you like a launcher, it’s very easy on the eye. One plasmoid two styles, AppGrid Centre and AppGrid Panel.
I’m using the centre version and it looks really good.
Looks interesting. Does it have a “Favorites” tab?
Not bad. I don’t know how often I’d use it, but it’s really nice. I’ll keep it in my panel and see if I get used to it.
Yep, took me a minute to find it, it’s the little folder icon. ![]()
Same here really, I almost always just use KRunner or task bar. I’m a sucker for new shiny stuff though. ![]()
Looks good. I will try that launcher. Maybe there is support for German language, too?
Always good to have choices! I’ve fallen hard for Krunner, which is such a great way of kicking off (pun intended) any apps or files/folders that are needed.
Think if you install the latest version it should have language support now by the look of the changelog
Wondering how much of this was made by AI by the mention of its use at the bottom of the github page, “context engineered and reviewed”
Installed the latest version 1.3.1. There exist po files for different languages, but they don’t seem to load. Maybe a bug?
EDIT: Created an issue on GitHub.
I was looking at where they are located may be the issue. I think they need be in this folder (I don’t have this launcher installed to try it)
/home/USER/.local/share/plasma/plasmoids/AndromedaLauncher/contents/locale
Edit - replace Andromeda Launcher with this launchers directory
The launcher started yesterday. I’ll stay with this launcher. Let’s see what the next days will bring. ![]()
Didn’t mean to replace it with this, I was just suggesting to try move the po files to this location and see if that works.
That’s fine, I mean just look how horses have improved with AI. ![]()
It would be nice to know, I see it as a handy tool but if the majority is AI it’s not for me. I can’t lie though it does look nice.
The little effects on the icons when you open it are very cool, I love that.
It’s like it was trained on childrens drawings ![]()
Yeh, children on shrooms. ![]()
I like that “bumping”, too. ![]()
