A New Look for the Forum?

I have not noticed this until just now. Is this new? Never said welcome back before I don’t believe

Yes, you beat me to it to announce it.
It is a new feature that came with the new Discourse update. I enabled it, just to see if new users will be encouraged to try the search function on the forum.

I like it. It gives it a more Personal feel.

It scared the hell out of me (well not really), but it is in such a bold, and big, typeface it really came in with a bang
Anyway I think it is a improvement.

I thought it looked odd, there is a lot of excess space on all pages any way to make it scale or does it need to be a specific size?

Not for me. Can we disable per user? It takes up to much screen space.

It’s okay, but it takes some getting used to. What bothers me even more, though, is that the site still can’t utilize the full screen width. It’s simply not visually up-to-date anymore. I prefer the lighter view, and the whole thing looks quite dated:

I have relatively poor eyesight, I run at 135% zoom. It takes up too much space, I can only see one post. Thank you uBlock Origin, for the block element option. It will be missed.

This how it appears to me, thought I was tripping but yer a lot smaller now hey.

Brave’s own ad blocker has a blocking feature for website elements. It’s very similar to uBO’s.

do you know a good guide for scaling, eyes have been playing up bad so preferably audio or a video I can pause

Where do you access that from? I have never noticed that in Brave.

No, sorry, I use the zoom setting in Vivaldi. The rest I just set larger fonts (plasma).

Simply right-click on the site > Block Element, then an editing view opens where you can select, like in uBO.

Thanks! I guess I don’t right click enough. :face_with_monocle:
