Since today, users who are using the Horizon theme are seeing a notable change in how the topics are presented.
There is a more visible outlining, called cards, and when “Topics” is your start page, you will see the first lines of each post.
This is an upstream change, and I am curious what your thoughts are. It’s not a fixture, so I can disable it.
I am just collecting your thoughts about it.

Yes I noticed that , and it also explained why the forum was unavailable for a short while.
First thought was , probably Bryan is at it again updating something

This means it takes longer to scroll through the lists of topics. Also the tab for New topics seems to have disappeared, and this is where seeing the first line would be most useful.
Switches back to Endeavour Light for now.

To elaborate further, being able to see the first line would be useful in the (currently missing) New topics tab. It would also be useful in the Latest topics tab if it showed the first line of the latest post, rather the first line of the first post in the topic - if that feature is available.
Unfortunately, that’s not possible. For now, what you see is what you get, is the case in this one.
The menu plays havoc with the Endeavour themes, since they are not official flavours. I designed those.
That’s why you have to go to the profile settings to select them. Previously, I used a plugin for the menu function, which also worked for non-registered users, but it isn’t working right with the recent version update of the forum.

But every time I use it and want to do this emoji reaction thing, I have to scroll the whole webpage because the selection box isn’t scrollable.
We can’t have nice things

The scrolling increased really. For me it is too much. One topic uses the same space as three topics with the Endeavor Light theme.
I would love to see following:
In the latest view a preview of the first line of the first unread post.
In the new tab a preview of the first two lines of this topic.

I appreciate the feedback, but as I wrote earlier, the feature isn’t changeable. I just want to know if you like it or not.
So, I can asses to keep it or disable it.
EDIT: I disabled the function, the horizon theme is as it was before the update.
