If you are looking for an interesting and ‘fun’ tool to help you determine which monospaced ‘terminal’ font is best for your eyes… you might try:
I’ve been a huge fan of IBM Plex for essentially everything in Plasma for the last few years. It works so well.
I really like this terminal font. When I went to github (https://github.com/IBM/plex/releases/tag/@ibm/plex-sans@1.1.0) I saw font package came with “onboarded IBM Telemetry” . Will have to read more.
@manyroads --great link without a modest amt of suites but I liked many of them; interesting thread so far. have always longed for alternates to default terminal font but too lazy to do anything about it til now
This page should help more - it’s effectively telemetry for build services, - nothing clientside. (Essentially Security, Reliability, Maintainability, Vulnerabilities, Bugs, Code-Smells and Coverage).
thank s,had not found that yet! I downloaded it.
I got “Oxygen Mono”; nice font, but I won’t be replacing “Literation Mono Nerd Font” anytime soon.
I have been using JetBrainsMono for a long time, specifically the Nerd version. I’ve used UbuntuMono too, also in the Nerd version. I’m currently trying Hack, the default monospace font for Plasma’s Konsole and it is nice.
Haha I took this “game” on, and oddly enough, ended up on Jetbrains Mono… Guess I’ll have to try it…
It’s always funny with these Mono fonts. They always look the same to me.
I was recommended this font game like a year ago (maybe I first saw it on this forum). It’s fun. It showed me that my favorite fonts from the selection were Inconsolata and Victor Mono, both of which I’ve been happily using ever since. Inconsolata for my terminal font, and Victor Mono for programming.
I thought I was a special snowflake, turns out Jetbrains Mono is the life for me afterall lol
Jet Brains Mono for Me, Jet Brains Mono For You
I’ll have a Jet Brains, You have one too!
I’m a bit late although I had this open for two weeks meaning to do it but never had time.
But this is my result, since I’ve never delved with terminal fonts ever I guess this is mine. I did prefer it over at least blindly looking, as most of the others I couldn’t even distinguish between them and randomly picked as they looked identical, my result is the only one among a few others that looked different from each other.
