HI there everybody, I just wanted spread the word about a great opportunity for talented distro artists.

Every year I sponsor an event to encourage distro artists to post their artwork for possible inclusion in our upcoming Garuda ISO releases. This is an excellent chance to get wider exposure for your artwork, as It could be chosen as the desktop wallpaper of any of our Garuda editions. We welcome any distro artist to come and participate in the 2026 Garuda Artwork Contest. Also feel free to let any of your artistically inclined friends know that they are more than welcome to join our competition as well.

I have increased the grand prize in this year’s Garuda Artwork Contest to $200 US, so don’t miss out on the opportunity to take home this years substantial prize money.

I confirm @tbg did contact me about this post, and I don’t have a problem with it. Garuda and we do work together and support each other behind the scenes. (Calamares) That’s the power of Open Source. :wink:

Probably not. Not because I don’t like Garuda, but because I’ve not used it. I only make/contribute wallpaper for distros that I’ve used or use as a daily driver (EOS, Solus, Debian, CachyOS).

That’s perfectly fine, and an understandable reason. Glad to hear you contribute to EnOS, as distros’s need users like you to help build community. All the best to you in the new year @UncleSpellbinder.
