Hey guys, trying to pair 2 controllers… a Pro 2 bluetooth and get all of the buttons working “as expected” for a Ultimate 2 wireless controller. To detail out:
- Linux 6.14.5-arch1-1 firmware ver.
- the Pro 2 bluetooth variant pairs, but is not “seen” usable in Steam or hardwaretester.com
- the Ultimate 2 Wireless pairs, and is “usable” in Steam, aside from the L and R bumpers..
…kinda banging my head on a wall with this. Any thoughts?
I’m using the wired version (usb-c to usb-a).

I’ve not had any issues. I do know that I’ve seen on Reddit that some 8BitDo users said there was a recent firmware update for the Ultimate 2. But that update can only be done on a Windows PC.
I’ll have to check the 8bitdo app on Android, just to see if I can potentially do it there.
Edit: nevermind that, I’ll need to set up a windows VM potentially to do the firmware updating for that one..

updated firmware on the ultimate 2, and downgraded the firmware on the pro 2 to 3.04 from 3.05..no luck.’
edit: did a yay -Syyu, rebooted and the ultimate 2 NOW connects over bluetooth. Didn’t mess with the 2.4ghz method.
one left..
