13... thirteen!

Well, if this kid is really only 13 years old…
It’s already the second “agentic” distro he has thrown together. The first one was called AgenticCore.

If you check out https://tachion.tech/, you’ll find a business-like website… with several ventures listed and 8 years of experience as a solo developer.

Guess there’s a entrepreneurial mindset. Which might get distracted due to biological processes such as: puberty.

But the fact that there isn’t a single post within the forums related to his project up so far is somehow.… sad.

Anyway. All I know is that the Model Context Protocol (MCP) is the latest hype related artificial intelligence and such. In short: Via MCP LLMs would be able to control software applications (or an OS) to facilitate complex tasks.
Thus, not only text responses in the scope of an chat, but additionally the ability to control other software instances which are installed locally on the host machine.

Essentially nothing completely new, as image editing programs already contain context driven batch editing & workflows to achieve certain results. You’ll find easily several demo videos that are showcasing how different LLMs are controlling blender via MCP, just check this youtube search query and there should at least be one good video explaining it in detail. And several screen recordings / timelapses.

In short, instead of being an total expert who knows an software inside & out and is aware of each individual function, controlling the software conventionally, the software input would be text-driven and you would phrase your desired end goal in plain language. And the LLM would perform the actual software interaction, selecting the correct commands and user inputs.

Not interested in even reading about it. I have a great operating system called EndeavourOS. What more do i need? I like plain old linux. Non of this immutable or AI stuff.

yep

Shows that in the past decades we made the tools an “average Joe” can now use to easily build complex systems, just to do very stupid things with them.

Do something with sudo.

Makes me shudder.
