10 Older Video Game Graphics That STILL Hold Up

There are some great throwbacks on this list. Still looking great. May need to revisit a couple of these.

About the only one on here I wouldn’t try is Metro Exodus, I just couldn’t get into it when I tried it. Cyberpunk is one I really want to try one day.

Yeh, I played Metro Exodus after I got it as a freebee from Epic. Man oh man I found it grey, dull and pretty blimmin’ depressing.
I think you’ll love Cyberpunk 2077 mate, for me (my personal opinion) it’s the best game I’ve ever played. Multiple playthroughs only make it even better.

I play KMahjongg. So no need of superior Graphic Card :winking_face_with_tongue:

I love mahjongg, so me too
I typically have a hard time with older graphics video games…very hard to not expect shiny pretty in most cases :0

The main thing is that SupertaxKart runs smoothly. I’ve never been much of a gamer

I wish I knew how to play mahjongg. I could happily while away the hours on something like that; nice and chilled, cup of coffee and a packet of McVities Ginger Nuts for dunking and I’d be good to go.

Playing Mahjong is pretty simple. Build from the top down and make sure the tiles are placed next to each other.
You can easily spend hours doing it

I do and don’t it all depends on the game. I have the original XIII and NFS Most Wanted, both look horrible on monitors with lower resolution but with a few mods to fix they are still definitely worth playing today.

And can’t forget my all time favourite, Tetris.

NFSMW 2005 version? That’s the best one. Are you able to play it on Linux?

Don’t worry, you can save the game

I installed Steam and Lutris, but haven’t gotten past that point, too much going on…

I downloaded gamescope too but haven’t gotten Lutris to recognize it yet, so I have a bit of work to do before trying to download and install a game from my Steam or EGS library, so many unplayed licenses collected over the years…

When I get around to it, this will be my first attempt trying to game on Linux, so wish me luck, and I am open to accept any advice you all have
