The “web” suffix identifies a programmer specialized in the creation of software with specific languages for the Web, such as PHP, ASP, ActionScript, Java, etc. for internet / intranet use. The web programmer takes care only of the source code of a website, then neglects the design and formatting of the HTML code, which are instead developed by a webdesigner or by multiple figures with specific skills. A web programmer who takes care of both the code and the graphics of a site, is no longer called that, but takes the name of webmaster.
