Hi, thanks for reading my short profile.
I work as a self-employed welding engineer, quality-engineer and business consultant. Security and productivity are my main tasks. I also want to run an OS that is reliable, fast, modern and easy to maintain, due to computing is not my main-business.
Two years ago I have tried Ubuntu, that I knew from earlier times (used between 2004 and 2015) and knew directly why I back in the days moved back to Windows. I have also tried the often recommended Linux Mint and MX as well, but faced to much trouble with my very current hardware-setup.
A first try on Manjaro fixed this issue almost but this OS showed problems day by day, but has showed me a way out of the so-called stable-OSs.
A year ago I installed Fedora and Endeavour in some of my business- laptops and use theese since then without any issues.
I always try new OSs and new releases (VM or bare-metal) but nothing reached my needs as well as these.
On both systems I run KDE-Plasma, that matches my workflow best, especially since the Plasma6-release.
I am happy to have found OSs that fullfill all my needs and give me the chance to learn somthing new every day without the need to learn by trouble-shooting.
I hope that I can support the forum with some experience and at least will have a lot of fun here.
