VIRGO77
Windows user for decades, I decided to switch to Linux for Gaming. Because M$ is doing some changes I really don’t appreciate, and because privacy became important for me, I’d prefer to be on Linux and I’m happy to jump into!
Actually, I have 2 computers for gaming.
My main, at home:
- MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Plus
- Intel Core i9 9900KF
- 64GB DDR4 RAM
- MSI GTX 4060Ti Gaming-X 8GB (maybe I should buy the 16GB version IMO)
And my laptop Asus TUF Gaming FX705DT which is the one I’m a bit stuck with, because of compatibility issues with Linux Distros, as this model (and specifically this one) seems a bit different in its conception so it does not correctly switch between the AMD VEGA iGPU and the NVIDIA 1650 Mobile GPU.
So I try different Arch versions, like CachyOS first, then EndeavourOS. CachyOS is too kernel aggressive because of BORE. So, AI invited me to switch to EndeavourOS or Pop!_OS for gaming. So, as I start to like Arch system, I switched to EndeavourOS.
Just hope to stay on Linux for gaming ![]()
