Yay returns "status 429: Rate limit reached"

Hello,

I just booted up my system, opened a console window and entered yay.
I get the following output:

   ~  yay  ✘ 1

I googled a bit and all I can find is that The API rate is limited to a maximum of 4000 requests per day per IP.

-> status 429: Rate limit reached

I am not sure how I would be able to go over 4000 requests. I just casually type yay around 4 times a day to get all the newest packages and that’s it.

Is there any way I can fix this error?

Just downloaded the latest eos mirrorlist update but now every time I use the Update System option it says:

AUR update check:

→ status 429: Rate limit reached

Ah so I am not the only one with this issue I guess.

Seems to be an issue with the AUR itself.
