Xprop terminals: instance = Navigator; class = firefox

Just installed endeavoros with i3. I’m wanting to assign terminals to specific workspace so I run the xprop command on xfce-terminal or urxvt. In both cases I get the following:

WM_CLASS(STRING) = “Navigator”, “firefox”.

Any idea why this would be the case?

Anyway, use “firefox” for the assignment. If it doesn’t work, use “Navigator”.

Also, use xprop on the terminal if you want to get the class for the terminal. The class for most apps is usually obvious, though.

WM_CLASS(STRING) = "xfce4-terminal", "Xfce4-terminal"
