# Xfce4-datetime-plugin and xfwm4-themes relegated to the AUR

I ran `pacman -Qm` this morning and was surprised to see both `xfce4-datetime-plugin` and `xfwm4-themes` listed.

For [xfce4-datetime-plugin](https://docs.xfce.org/panel-plugins/xfce4-datetime-plugin/start) the Xfce website says “this plugin is considered **End-of-Life(EOL)**. For similar functionality, consider using the built-in [Clock](https://docs.xfce.org/xfce/xfce4-panel/clock) plugin.”

@joekamprad xfce4-datetime-plugin is included in the [default :enos: Xfce packages](https://github.com/endeavouros-team/EndeavourOS-packages-lists/blob/master/xfce4), so best to delete this. Clock is part of `xfce4-panel` which is included in the Arch Linux [xfce4 group](https://archlinux.org/groups/x86_64/xfce4/), so everyone should already have it.

`xfwm4-themes` is not in the default :enos: Xfce packages and is a collection of very old themes. If you’re looking for this in future, it’s now in the AUR, but may not be forever, [as it’s currently unmaintained](https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/xfwm4-themes).

What are existing users supposed to do ? Uninstall the package ?

Up to you.

Both still work, and can be installed from the AUR on new systems. However, if you’re not using both/either of them, then you might as well uninstall them.
