I own a third-party XBOX ONE controller. USB.
I noticed that my one program, AntiMicroX was spitting out an error.
Unable to open uinput files, this may cause problems with generating events. To check possible solutions please visit: AntiMicroX Wiki
Link to Wiki: https://github.com/AntiMicroX/antimicrox/wiki/Open-uinput-error
So I tried that link on the bottom and ran:
cd /usr/lib/udev/rules.d/
sudo wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/AntiMicroX/antimicrox/master/other/60-antimicrox-uinput.rules
But after restart, it never worked. I then tried reinstalling it, but no dice.
There some other software I can use? I have used qjoypad in the past, but is currently broken. Last I checked.
I need to map my A B and X keys to certain keyboard keys.
Help?

Oh, I also do have a 8BITDO controller, too. If that helps at all..
Bottom line, AntiMicroX isn’t working.

If anyone wants to know how I fixed this, I came upon this piece of hardware, that works. The way I wanted it to.
It picked up both my XBOX ONE S controller as well as my 8BITDO controller.
A button set to “W”
B button set to “J”
X button set to “S”
Thank you for all your help cough
