X11vnc locked out

I have a lot of client’s backend systems set up with x11vnc server in order to facilitate remote administration by barely-skilled management on win10. However there has lately been a surge in remote hacking attempts targetting these systems (according to the logging I’ve done) that have resulted in the x11vnc quitting responding without dying.

Have any of you figured out a way around this other than a remote ssh, kill and relaunch?
