Great news

Installed it, set up as a single Player, set my Music collection.
I still have to play around to get familiar with the settings again

Lot of spellinh errots but i failed english so I think I go pretty well

I have always loved Cantata. With the qt6 port it also matches the color scheme perfectly

I just didn’t know how to integrate the background image of the respective cover. But now it’s done.

EDIT: Cantata sets itself up more or less automatically. You don’t really have to do much. Background and tray symbol were the only changes

And as @VlPo noted, I think it’s a sound difference from some others

No, that’s just a bunch of individual songs from my collection. I just found this Awesome Mix Vol ll cover somewhere and tagged the songs with it

I’ll have to give a shot when I update (don’t want to confuse myself so have only set a reminder to try it out

They did this for PR and to extort their extremely small remaining community for developing their ancient product. Sad, but I can’t say I was super hyped about this.

I like it a lot too, the non git package in the AUR works fine.

If I wanted to use some old school player, I’d install Xmms it’s still in the AUR.

I love the simplicity of Winamp; I still use it at work to play music, with no fancy features. At home, I use qmmp, that has almost the same features as Winamp.
