Wi-fi driver Realtek 8852AE on my laptop Lenovo Ideapad 5 pro 16ACH6 stopped working after update.
Before the update, everything worked perfectly, the laptop did not turn on for 1.5 months, so the update arrived only today. Before the update, everything worked perfectly, the laptop did not turn on for 1.5 months, so the zeroing arrived only today. How can I solve the problem?

What specifically did you update? Check the contents of /var/log/pacman.log (or the output of paclog) for changes just before the problem started.

In /var/log/pacman.log only packages I downloaded manually, but but the OS update window came out.

All package manager operations are listed in that file, whether you installed the packages yourself or not.

If you look at the time stamp on the left-hand side you should be able to quickly find the last set of updates you performed.

Then I have no explanation for why the network adapter stopped working…

But i have problem and i need help.

I’d suggest installing linux-lts and booting into that to see if that makes any difference.

I also noticed you added more detail to your opening post; if your pacman.log has no entries despite installing 1.5 months-worth of updates today then you likely have another problem, and you might consider reinstalling so your system starts from a known-working state.

Thank you.

The Realtek 8852AE is WiFi 6.0 802.11ax standard. Is it running a kernel module or are you using the AUR package rtw89-dkms-git?

Edit: rtw89 is a 802.11ax PCI-E driver for 8852AE devices.

I have the same chipset and it works natively with 5.18 and 5.19 - no additional driver package needed.

That’s why i was asking because it was supposed to be added as a kernel module by now.
