Who gets to say the BTW line?

True. On this forum, it sometimes feels as if EnOS users display some kind of pride they don’t really earn, but keep sufficing from, while sometimes even trashing it.

Allthewhile this hypocrisy seems human in a negative way.

Back To Work BTW!

Now I know why I ran away from Manjaro:

…the change was made to look like a “feature”

You’re dead wrong here lol.
I messaged the mods at r/linux and got the flair added back in December/January

I selected all but “None lol” as an abreviation it should be “LOL”, not lol. :grimacing:

I put it in comment sections… just to be silly, and as such, anyone can use it, but if you don’t use some form of Arch, then it’s a lie by definition at least. When there’s a heated discussion I use it to troll! So sue me!

I wasn’t trolling, just having fun

I AM trolling btw.

No trolls allowed here! You shall not pass! (Note for mods: this is a silly remark, I am not excluding and bullying people)

No, it’s

i use Facebook btw

Oh and btw
I use EndeavourOS btw

Well here’s a conundrum for you all…

A few weeks ago, I wanted to install Linux onto an older Dell with an Nvidia GPU that is only supported by the 340xx drivers and seems to randomly lock up with Nouveau drivers. As a result, I wasn’t able to finish an EOS install from the ISO I had on hand. Instead, I did a text install of Arch using archinstall and, after the first boot, an install of nvidia-340xx-dkms from the AUR. This did the trick and everything worked well.

Later, I added the EOS repos to pacman’s config so that I could install a few helpful packages that I was used to having around. Somewhere along the way, however, I must have gone too far because the system now self-identifies as EndeavourOS.

So, can I still say BTW?

Yes you can!

You could even if you just installed EndeavourOS.

Manjarno users don’t get to.

I only say “Arch BTW” when I’m mocking people who say “Arch BTW”…

“…this…this is Arch BTW…
…it is an ADVANCED Linux operating system…
…ACTUALLY…it is…GNU/Linux…
…more specifically…it is GNU…WITH Linux…
…anyway, it’s not for newbies…LIKE YOU!..”

I could go on, but you get the general idea

Then, of course, the Artix guy shows up and tells me that systemd sucks…

Who can blame them, though?

I’m at the point where I prefer “FWIW” over “BTW”.
