Which privacy browser?

I think you got something else going on. :smirk:

Well, firewall rules and pi-hole if you read two posts over.

Think it is better to do everything on the entire network as I have several computers on it.

The only thing I had a problem with was YouTube and advertising. However, I see the whole of Google as advertising and have chosen to block them.

What do you have installed on it?

I’ll run it on an RPi 4. You can run in a VM as well or a server/computer if you want. I think it’s better at an RPi. Also has unbound on it.

Doesn’t require much maintenance either. I update once a month. I’ll run Debian on it without a GUI.

RPi4

It runs on almost anything that can run Linux. If you want to try it out, it is in the AUR.

And there are lots of pre-set VM images you can grab too. I’ve been using one from here.

I ran DietPi on my RPi a few years ago. I don’t know why I went back to RPi OS. Maybe take a look at it again.

Check your Chrome browser (if you use one) to see if it is “FloCed” by G :eyes: gle:

I think that’s only active on Google Chrome and 5% and most other browsers have said no to it. No one should use Google Chrome anyway

Too bad it looks like this:

We’re only a small part in here, unfortunately. Reality doesn’t look funny

I got 100% largely with DNS Blocklists on OPNSense. Tried with UBO turned off and it dropped to 98%. So my whole network is mostly protected. Nice.

What did it miss to block?

Sentry apparently

I had a problem with it too.

This:

Had to block it manually.

Been using Brave Browser for 6 months now and have zero complaints. Love the browser and philosophy behind the company.

I ended my lifelong relationship with Firefox when I found out they started to have questionable people working for them.

Well, Firefox has been having some weird stuff around lately. As long as they make a good browser, I’ll stay on Firefox.

I’ve been looking for a replacement in the event I have to switch. Unfortunately, most of it is built on Chromium. I have tried so many different browsers and all of them are bad

Only Firefox is still reasonably good in my opinion.

Chrome / Chromium based fork == Google == Bad.

Firefox is the only viable option currently.

Brave is a MITM scam.

My daily is FF but I keep Ungoogled-Chromium around as a in-case-of-emergency browser. And of course TOR for…

I’ve also tried Ungoogled-Chromium. That’s the one I’m leaning on if Firefox dies.

However, I am not happy about that.

I hope with all my heart that Firefox will come again. However, I have no problem at all with Firefox as it is now. And with proton, it looks a little more modern too.
