After every time I close and open konsole the theme changes back to the default breeze theme no matter which theme I apply. I am not using kvantum.
How are you changing it?
You may need to create a profile and then set that profile as the default.
By editing current profie and changing the colorscheme and applying it.
That should work.
Check the permissions on the config file.
What config file? Where?
Is the current profile set as the default? If not the changes will not stay applied.
ls -l ~/.config/konsolerc
If memory serves me right, the standard theme is read only. Try to create a new one based on the standard theme and set this one as standard.
