It’s a science fiction show in the tradition of Star Trek. It was initially advertised as a comedy. But it’s not, really. There are funny moments in the show. More than one would see in Star Trek. But Seth MacFarlane is a massive Star Trek fan. It was his way of attempting to create something Trek-like and offer some comedic moments while still telling serious stories.

30ish years ago, a neighbor and I would play Madden football several times a week on the Sega Genesis. This turned into “tournaments” with several other neighbors. Madden Football was THE video game. The good ol’ days, for sure. Looking forward to seeing this four-part docuseries.
Watched the second episode of Dune : Prophecy yesterday. And I’ve to say: I pretty much prefer the visual aesthetics and the vibe Denis Villeneuve was able to achieve in both of his movies up so far. In the movies the Bene Gesserit appeared mystical and unapproachable. And that doesn’t translate to the series. Not sure if I will continue watching this.
