What were you watching yesterday night?

Yes. But there mg I drove was fun. I LOVE mini. And the new jaguars are fantastic.

I’m glossing over the fact mini is made by BMW and Jag is Indian these days.

A real Mini, on the other hand, has never been approached for capability  Not to mention the version I drove on an abandoned airstrip in England when I was 14 - it had a V8 in it!

Never did drive a Robin, though…

It sounds one the version you drove was rightfully abandoned on that airstrip. . .

Most f1 cars are British. . .

The RAF (and its American helpers) had a LOT of airfields in wartime (WWII) that became abandoned as airfields afterwards. Having kids drive overpowered Minis on them was not a factor…

Of course, back then a V8 was not the powerhouse it could have been with today’s tech - It may not have exceeded 200 hp - but considering a Mini ran well with 38 hp - it was a lot of fun…

It’s the first time for me, but I think I will see the lot of them.

I loved Diva when it came, and then I saw it again some few years ago, and was slightly disapionted. In my memory the film was better story wise, but the aesthetics and the music was still great.

There were many great “French New New Wave/Cinéma du look” movies that I still love: Subway, Diva, and most of all Betty Blue/ 37° 2 le matin.

I even got special Tequila Slammer/Tequila Torpedo glasses, because of that movie.

it’s funny, i felt quite the same way. at some stages, i thought it could have been concised a little bit, but i’m much more of an audio addict, so that was easy to get over.

lately i enjoyed “picknick at hanging rock”. if i ever succeed in escaping this glorious yteicos, i think i will probably miss watching this one, if not, the most? i really adore the early films of this fine aussie director.

and I thought I had a spleen?
