Saturday nite is $1 thrift store movie night for us. A movie that was never on my radar wound up blowing me away. I never thought I would like something with no swearing, farts, b**bs, guns, or shit exploding, but daaaaamn Barry Levinson’s 1982 Diner was stunningly good. Funny as hell, strong performances, and engaging. If you were a guy and lived with a bunch of guys in yer 20s it’s like that but literate and set in 1959 Baltimore.
We kept this. Would see it again. Amazing.

Brilliant, thanks for posting this.
I absolutely loved Half-Life and the sequels as well as the Black Mesa rework.

Original Half-Life is amazing for it’s time, some cutting edge stuff for its days for sure, especially in gameplay and narrative handling, some games still by this day simply don’t get it.

And Black mesa is a freaking masterpiece!
They’ve made Zen unbelievably beautiful and vibrant, exactly like it deserved to be, but was impossible back in 1998.

For sure, Zen in Black Mesa is absolutely mind-blowing. I’ve played it so many times now.
I also used to play a Half-Life mod called Day of Defeat; a capture the flag WW2 FPS. Got so addicted to that back in the day.

Now you’re spoiling me. There goes my afternoon. :joy:

Wouldn’t really class it as a comedy though
