What were you watching yesterday night?

It’s because hieroglyphic script is not a pictorial script, but a phonetic one. Every text has a lot of birds in it, but not many texts are actually about birds. The birds are symbols for actual sounds (or to be precise, combination of consonants, the vowels are not written) in the Middle Egyptian language. For example, the owl is the M sound, the quail chick is the W sound, the vulture is the L sound (or a type of R, it’s a bit complicated, this sound got lost in the Egyptian language, just like syllable final R got lost in Received Pronunciation in English)… I could go on and on about this, but I’ve probably already lost everyone… :frog:

Or let’s just pretend that the rabbit has a lot of bird friends…

As unfortunately so often these days, we just had to witness the latest American shenanigans …

Kinda sad and noisy and dangerous when an empire refuses to die naturally. :grimacing:

If you think that you know stuff about 10 days that shook San Francisco, think twice - most likely you don’t know sh*t!
