What is your favorite dish?

Uhhh… If only everything in this world was so simple… :innocent:
But thank you for not immediately refusing

On the bottom, a rectangular Italian Sausage patty cooked on a charcoal grill.
Next a layer of Marinara Sauce.
A layer of Mozzarella cheese. I know this is not as good as Mozzarell in southern Italy, but it is the best I can get.
Then some sautéed onions and red bell peppers. I also know @joekamprad 's pictures of sautéed onions looks way better than mine.

Normally we would put this on a hoagie style bun, but we are cutting down on carbs.

Full disclosure, not really my favorite dish, but close.

One of my favorites is the layered potatoes.

Oh yeah, I love all sorts of potato casseroles. I make something very similar to this, except I put a bunch of cheese in the layers (and on the top), so that it melts and becomes stretchy… :yum:

I also love various potato dishes with cheese. I love cheese on its own, as do sour cream. In addition to the added sour cream, I also like to water the casserole potatoes with additional sour cream while eating.

There is a similar looking sweet dish, which we make on festivals like Holi and Diwali.

It is known as gujiya.

Looks good, but is very dry according to me. When we make this, there is presence of gravy which is made up of paste having onion, tomato, garlic, spices.
