What games are you playing?

Well…Most of them are pretty lame, however:

When it comes to wrecking cars, nothing beats Beam.NG.
It’s not a typical racer though. It’s more about soft body physics and accurate simulation of engines.
If you own the game “Automation”, you can even create your own cars and import them into Beam.NG.

Downside: Windows only, but works rather nicely with Proton (on nvidia at least, have some issues with amdgpu+mesa-git currently).

I’ve been playing Age of Empires 3 Definitive Edition a lot lately. It works pretty much perfectly except xbox sign in does not work which is only required to create a clan, so really not a big deal. Compared to AOE2 you don’t need xbox sign in to play multiplayer at all, ranked and public lobbies work just fine with steam only. The game was not working on Linux for the first alphas, but it has been working nicely for all of closed beta and full release.

I’m not a gamer but I still miss this. My one true love:

I literally lost sleep and a relationship over that game. I know there is a new version but I don’t have a machine capable of running that. Probably a good thing!

Yeah it’s easy to get lost in the new one…

spent nearly 40 hours in that game first week alone :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

I’m forcing myself to only play a couple of hours in the weekend, because else the calender days fly by without actually doing anything besides Elite

And they say drugs are addictive!

BTW when you get into engineering I found these to be very useful:

Really wanted to play:

Red Dead Redemption 2

For now although some people saying it’s fully playable on Proton 5.13-1…I had no luck also with TKG and GloriousEggroll, however tested it only on Manjaro stable for now.

Have anybody else here had any luck / tips?

Whatever hokus pokus manjaro does to manjaro steam breaks it. Always has. Try using plain Jane steam (not steam-native)

Lutris + :pirate_flag: retail + whatever engine i could feed to it, including Proton

So you had luck with it already on Steam?

How is it running on Linux?
I wonder if my RX 5600XT wouldn’t struggle too much on that game

I have RX Vega 64 lol
