Your meme is pretty close to correct. Just change “noisy grindcore crap” to " carousing". The dictionary pretty much has that right.

Then change the response to “Yes, dear”.

My wife was and is my Jiminy cricket. Like in the cartoons. A little devil is on one shoulder saying “come on, let’s do this, it’ll be fun”, and my Jiminy cricket wife is on the other shoulder beating some common sense into my head.

The carousing had to end sometime, else I am sure I wouldn’t be here today.

She certainly can!

I’ve always loved Françoise Hardy’s recording of Janis Ian’s “Star,” sung in French:

In the 1990s I bought both of the CDs released by the Ginger Baker Trio:

  • Ginger Baker, drums
  • Bill Frisell, electric guitar
  • Charlie Haden, double bass

I’ve seen Bill Frisell in concert three times, more than any other musician. Sadly, both Ginger Baker and Charlie Haden have died, and I was never able to see them in concert.

I was thrilled last night to discover that an entire 1995 concert by the trio was posted online a couple of months ago:

The performance and recording quality are excellent.

Wow, Ginger Baker could really play the drums! He had a complicated life, but he is in his prime here, and he really seems to be enjoying himself.

Thinking of setting up Volumio again. Had it on an Asus TB a few years ago:

Asus-TB

Now I only have a couple of RPi4. Must have Hifiberry to get a good sound on them. Asus TB had a pretty good sound original.

Volumio is wonderful! I plan to buy some HAT like hifiberry to test it well, now is on RPI3 attached to my TV via HDMI, for now it is enough for romantic evenings with jazz at home :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
