I used to think that this was great! (pretty scary huh?) Of course, I was a somewhat āimpairedā schoolboy at the time ![]()
I was a schoolboy at the time, too young to have been impaired, but I was certainly affected by the music. My father would observe me disapprovingly as I listened to the radio. He even banned me from listening late at night, and would check the temperature of the vacuum tube (valve, if youāre British) radio in my room to determine whether I had been listening after hours.
Just last night I was listening to this song, sung by Steve Marriott (earlier of the Small Faces):
