I have never been and most likely never will be a Slipknot fan. Music, according to my opinion, needs at least something that can be recognized as a melody and it is quite advantageous if the lyrics can be understood. 
Nevertheless I do like Corey Todd Taylors second band Stone Sour very much.

Haven’t listened it for ages, but atmosphere and time is captured strongly.
And obviously Corey’s voice is at it’s prime - out of that world!
