Keith Whitley wrote and originally performed this song. After Keith’s death, Allison Krauss did a cover of this song. Then a DJ at a Milwaukee radio station did a mix from both songs. Hence the greatest duet that never happened.
I know, some will say that the mix of Natalie Cole and her deceased dad Nat King Cole singing Unforgettable is the greatest duet that never happened. I’ll call it a draw.
