rarely do I hear a song as perfect as ventura highway or golden hair. they could hit all the sweet spots sometimes between guitar, harmony, verse. [horse was contrived, they weren’t perfect but who is]….but as far as some songs…they are immortal.

oh that was nice throwback jazz like 50s/60s nuanced, listening to each other, exploratory. I think that song (I found it and listened to here and now title song) was take two or three like they did ‘in the day.’ to hear this approach in 2024 (release date) is refreshing

I got my server working again, so while I’ve been organising files, I have been listening to the dark ambient album “You Disappeared” by “Beyond the Ghost”
I have connected my file server to my Desktop PC with samba and I use mpd to play my music, with ncmpcpp.
When I don’t use my pc, if I feel especially lazy or if the artist hasn’t released the music on a physical medium, I use Navidrome to stream the flac files that I’ve bought from Bandcamp or ripped from my cds, to my stereo.
My plan is to stream my music collection outside the home as well, for when I don’t have my rockboxed ipod with me, but I need to learn more about reverse proxy first.
Today while tweaking a lightning inspired theme i remembered this gem, probably one of the best cover album ever made
