Thanks for reminding me, off to Bandcamp I go.

I LOVE scouring Bandcamp for discovering and following bands/artists. I’ve been a regular there for ages. I purchase stuff from Bandcamp artists on the regular.

Jetsetter Jazz! The Persuasive Sounds of Nutty (2012). Parodies of well-known songs performed in a lounge style.

“Cinnamon Doll” parodies Neil Young’s “Cinnamon Girl” (1969). The famous one-note guitar solo in the original works well with brass instruments. Nutty’s musicianship is great.

“Pleasant Valley Monkday” parodies Gerry Goffin and Carole King’s “Pleasant Valley Sunday” (Carole King’s excellent demo in 1966; The Monkees’ hit recording in 1967).
