What am I missing? Kernel still on 6.18.9

This topic should be locked. It’s useless to post about kernel status from others suppliers. When arch has the kernel ready it will be posted.

People forget the projects are maintained by people with jobs and having a live (family). I really don’t get all the complaints when arch or eos are mostly having the latest updates available for FREE.

Arch could release it with the results bricking you system, is this what you all want ? Getting tons of messages whining why arch released a broken kernel.

Please stop all these nonsense and have patience and just WAIT for it.

Be happy with what you already have got for free!

I can understand you normies wanting a safe & boring OS, but you should try the white knuckle ride that is Debian Stable:

$ uname -r
6.18.15-3-liquorix-amd64

Oh, and VLC in Debian Stable has been at v3.0.23 since 8th January, whereas poor backwards Arch is stuck on v3.0.21.

Wow, we should all jump on a progressive distro fofl
It does kinda freak me out that Debian could possibly have software released in the last year.

I agree with everything, except the part about closing the topic. I believe that sharing thoughts and listening to different opinions -even if, as in this case, they may seem childish or lacking in empathy- should be the goal of any forum worthy of the name, of course within its limits and moderation. There is already enough censorship and one-sided thinking in today’s society.

By the way, 6.19.5 is arriving in Arch; I don’t think it will take long :wink:

A good start to the week for everyone.

How dare you! :face_with_symbols_on_mouth:

My comments above were both childish AND lacking in empathy.

Not that you deserve one after such a gratuitous AND offensive insult :face_with_monocle:
