Friend installed EOS in offline mode because of wifi issues and once we got his wifi up installed Gnome. It hasnt had any effect on his system but he has this under his login box when he boots. Ive never seen this and google foo hasnt produced anything and im at a loss as to what could be causing this
I think that is where notifactions show, after he logs in click on the date/time on the top bar and see if there are notifications there. If there are you can click the clear button and it should remove these.
thats what i thought too but there arent any and he disabled lock screen notifications
