VPN on sleep mode drops connection

Hi,

I noticed that every time my pc gets into sleep mode (after 15min inactivity), my windscribe VPN client drops the connection, how can i keep it alive?!

Hello,

I’m sure there’s a way around it, but this is expected behaviour for your VPN. When a computer enters sleep mode, it cuts off the internet connection - causing all apps to also enter a sleep state.

Although, most modern VPN services nowadays offer Auto Connect which will automatically re-connect the VPN once it gets an active internet connection again.

I suspect it’s not the VPN specifically, but the network interface that’s going to sleep.
