Hey guys,
I’ve installed virt-manager and created some VMs, they are so far kind of working. But I get very strange “freeze/lag” when starting any of them up. Mainly I want to store the virtual disks on a network share mounted via NFS (doing this for years in Proxmox with VMs without issues).
Issue now is that when I start any VM upon booting or when in desktop the VM is kind of freezing at it takes like 1-3 min in order to become responsive. When loading the VMs from the NFS share I can see that on my host the network speed graph is showing like 620 MiB/s of Download Speed during that kind of lag for the said amount of time. After that initial load/lag the VM runs smoothly.
After the download rate gone down the machine is usable. To exclude network share issues, I tried a VM with virtual disk stored to local host nvme disk but get the same behaviour. Also tried a VM with Linux and Windows but same behaviour for both. Does someone know whats could be the issue for that strange bug?
These are my system specs:
AMD 7950X3D
ASUS B650 Creator
128gig DDR5 Ram
Nvdia 2060 Super (host graphics)
Nvidia T400 (vm pcie-passthrough)
Intel 82599ES 10-Gigabit SFI/SFP+
