Downloaded latest iso and created a virtualbox machine using the display
options recommended.
The install appeared to run then errored out with:

May i suggest you to try again? Sometimes calamares shows random errors, the one you’re having happens sometimes,
Just in case which is the VM config, meaning how much ram, disk space? Which processor do you have?
Just tried it w/offline install and it worked flawlessly.
