Virt-manager local disk permissions denied

Hi,

I’ve followed the instructions to install virt-manager from the following guide:
https://discovery.endeavouros.com/applications/how-to-install-virt-manager-complete-edition/2021/09/

I’d like to create a Windows virtual machine based off my existing physical drive however whenever I try to add the disk and begin installation, I am greeted by the following error:

I assume I need to edit the permissions through chown to the local disk or create a QEMU/KVM root session instead to resolve this issue.

Before I try that, I’d like to ask if there’s something wrong I did or another solution for this issue.

Ended up just creating a QEMU/KVM root session which solved the issue, although it probably isn’t the best practice to do so.
