Okay… i downloaded the key and then ran the trust and it stops at gpg> Am i doing this wrong?
Sorry, I didn’t see that before!
Now yes!
Great
I guess i’m just not understanding this. I downloaded the key. Then do i run trust? When i do that is just stops at gpg>
Edit: So i have to put 5 or it doesn’t work? Why all the other options then?
Edit: It still goes to the gpg> prompt
What am i supposed to do with it?
Wow didn’t see that part. Okay then!
Ive never used this before … i always just trusted the maker!
it worked before
now I’ve re-done a test and it doesn’t work anymore
cannot import the key:
gpg --recv-keys CB23504F
reception from key server failed: No data
I never uses it before. I just used the sha512 sum check but i guess that’s not enough?
yes sha512 sum verification works
but a second authentication would not be badly (it is the same site that proposes the verification of the signature)
I just never used the other before. I thought it was just a command and would throw out a verification yes or no. But it’s a little bit more of a program.
Edit: Learn something different every day.
this should be caused by an issue on the side of the keyserver, may overloaded or slow
gpg is i thing on its own
and one day when quantum Computers cracking primes … it will be obsolete
