Second:

not efibootmanager

Thanks for the advice!

efibootmgr:
EFI variables are not supported on this system.

Is that parted -l output ok or should repeat it?

That is ok but for better readability, please edit your previous post and format the text as has been described before.

This means you are booting the live usb in Bios mode. Please try booting it in UEFI mode.

I think I don’t know how to do it. Booting in UEFI mode. Unless it is a choice in Live USB.

Here’s the parted -l again:

For booting your usb in uefi mode, you could go into your Bios settings and disable Legacy/CSM boot mode and then boot up your live usb.

Once in the live usb, post the output of the efibootmgr.

Is this the disk with Enos ?

If /dev/sdc is your system disk, chroot:

sudo mount /dev/sdc2 /mnt
sudo mount /dev/sdc1 /mnt/boot/efi
arch-chroot /mnt

When in chroot, update your system and in case of any errors, post the whole of the output.

Also, from inside chroot, post:

pacman -Q | grep -E "mkinitcpio|dracut"

Yes.

Thanks a lot! I’ll provide them soon.

sudo pacman -Syu:

Updating your system seems to have gone fine.

Your issue is most probably due to having two initramfs-generator installed at the same time.

You should have one or another. Not both.

For now I would suggest to remove dracut (you could always switch to dracut later if you want):

In chroot:

pacman -Rs dracut

Then regenerate your initramfs:

mkinitcpio -P

When done, regenerate your grub.cfg:

grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg

In case of any errors, post the whole of terminal output from the relevant step above.

If no errors, quit chroot by typing exit followed by enter and reboot.

Wonderful analysis! Thanks again!

I am right now out, but I hope I can still return to this later today.

Good morning!
I tried the procedure above and to my understanding all went well. However, the PC won’t boot itself. One small happened in grub-mkconfig:

Today I have a busy day and may not be able to join here. I may be able to briefly check the conversation by phone.

Thank you!

We need more detailed info. What happens, what do you see when you boot your system, grub boot menu? Any messages after you choose your boot entry? Tell us more.

Hello, eventually I managed to get everything ok. First there was an issue with the boot entry. BIOS had labelled the “endeavouros*” entry invalid and would not use it. It had to be modified to allow the boot.

The next issue was the missing nvidia module. I fixed it with a new update (pacman -Syu). Also my virtual windows partition was also hit. I needed to renew the partition and install wmWare again.

Thanks a lot guys!
