Eine Verständnisfrage: Ich bekam heute ein Update für die btrfs-progs, obwohl meine derzeitige Installation mit ext4 läuft. Warum sind die btrfs-progs dennoch mit installiert? Ich war’s jedenfalls nich … .

Um herauszufinden, warum, können Sie Folgendes ausführen:

pacman -Qi btrfs-progs

pactree -r btrfs-progs

Auf meinem System wird es von udisks2 benötigt.

[ainz@eos ~]$ pactree -r btrfs-progs
btrfs-progs
└─udisks2
  └─solid
    ├─kio

Ist ja so einiges, hätte ich nicht erwartet:

These are all optional for gvfs (see pacman -Qi gvfs).
If you don’t use some of them, you might want to remove them. Just as fwiw

OK, gvfs-gphoto2, gvfs-nfs and gvfs-smb could go. Can I just uninstall them like that?

In principle yes. However if you have anything in your system depending in one or some of them, pacman will error out with a broken dependency message
