Update breaks tethering

Hi,

Something in the newest updates breaks tethering and I tried to get it working, but to no avail.

I share my internet via usb tethering and it has been plug and play for years with multiple distros. Been using EOS for 1,5? years.

I’m now using latest EOS ISO without updates (Neo March 23) and it works. Also flawless in live-usb.

ip addr gives state down(now unknown with older release) and “sudo ip link set xx up” does nothing.
Setting systemd-networkd with udev from archwiki did not help. Ofc I might have messed something with them.

Thanks

In the meantime you may be able to install and run linux-lts?

Thank you, I’ll keep an eye on that report, I did not find it earlier.
I’ll give the LTS a go.
