Did you run the update grub command after adding it to the grub command line?
Once it was some tearing, later it was unstable HDMI audio, and monitor sleep, to the point I went back to xf86-video-ati.

The problem was the energy supply.
When the laptop was disconected to charger the dGPU didnt recieve enough energy so the performance got affected… Honestly i dont know how i didnt notice before heh.
